Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 April 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Softwarem Ltd(“Softwarem”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit our corporate website at softwarem.co.uk.
Each product we build has its own separate privacy policy covering the SaaS it provides: Quotem privacy policy. This policy only covers the marketing site you're reading now.
1. What we collect
1.1 Browsing data
When you visit softwarem.co.uk, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs IP address, browser user-agent, referrer, and request paths. This is used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic understanding. Logs are retained for up to 30 days.
1.2 Contact
If you email us at support@softwarem.co.uk we retain the message for as long as needed to handle your enquiry (typically up to 24 months of inactivity, after which we delete unless it is part of an active customer relationship).
1.3 Cookies
The marketing site uses a single local-storage entry to remember your preferred colour theme (light or dark). It is not shared with anyone and does not identify you. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics on this site.
2. Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR)
- Legitimate interests — for operating and securing the website.
- Consent — for any future optional cookies or marketing signups.
3. Sharing
We share data only with infrastructure providers needed to run this site:
- Vercel — hosting and edge delivery of the site.
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with advertising networks.
4. Your rights
Under UK/EU GDPR you may:
- Ask what data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion.
- Object to processing or request restriction.
- Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
To exercise any of these, email support@softwarem.co.uk. We respond within 30 days.
5. Changes
If we materially change how this site handles data we'll update this page and refresh the "Last updated" date at the top.
